St. John’s is blessed with a learning team devoted to teaching children about the love of God, about following Jesus, and loving the world God loves. Sunday school for Preschool-6th grade meets every Sunday during the school year from 9-10AM. Fun events and service opportunities are organized regularly.
Our two-year confirmation program includes classes on Sunday mornings with occasional afternoon “retreats” to allow for a deeper (and fun) dive into topics of faith.
Children are always welcome in our worship services, but we also have a quiet room and nursery to allow parents to choose what works best for them. On fifth Sundays, children and youth serve as the readers and worship assistants in our service.
Throughout their Christian formation at St. John’s, children learn the values of justice, peace, love, and respect. Every Sunday our young people close the service with the dismissal that they wrote, “Share the love you have with the world. God loves you!”
