Christmas Eve Candlelight Service Saturday December 24, 2022 (7:30 PM)

To all our Community Friends,

We are very pleased to cordially invite you to our 7:30 PM Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship  Service, featuring classic Christmas Carols played by our Organist,  Mr. Doug McCabe. In addition, we will feature a wonderful young  and talented harpist Ms. Veronika Stanichar who is studying Harp at the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts. You may want to arrive by 7:20 PM, as Ms. Stanichar will be performing several carols as her prelude prior to the opening of service.

At St. Johns, we  would be delighted if you and your family can attend, and we will make you feel loved and welcomed!  Hear the Word of God that describe what Christmas is really about, while sharing the love of the Christ child with your loved ones close by.

If you are unable to attend service due to distance or mobility issues, please join our zoom simulcast which starts at 7:15 PM for service at 7:30 PM by clicking on the following link.

St Johns Updates our Youth Protection Guidelines

The Congregation of St Johns Lutheran Church, in coordination with the National Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the ELCA Southern Ohio Synod, has unanimously adopted an update youth protection policy for activities involving minor children within the Congregation’s property. This naturally applies to our own youth program like Sunday School, but also applies to any organization utilizing our facilities on a regular basis for youth activities. Examples include our sponsored Girl Scout Troops and our Tamil Language School. If you are interested in reading the policy, please click here.

St Johns Welcomes the Dayton Tamil Language Academy

The Congregation of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Miamisburg is pleased to announce the return of the Dayton Tamil Academy to St Johns.  The Tamil Academy Language school teaches students  ranging in ages from pre-school through high school, and will be meeting in our teaching facilities most  Saturday Mornings from 10:30 am-12:30 pm local time beginning October 22nd through late April 2023.

Did you know that the Tamil Language is one of the oldest languages on the planet, with the earliest written forms dating back to ~3,000 BCE? As Miamisburg has a thriving Tamil community, we are pleased to partner with the Dayton Tamil Academy, and their charter to keep alive their rich written and oral language and traditions. If you would like more information about the Tamil Language Academy, follow this link to  https://

We wish your academy all the best for the academic year 2022-2023!
